Ten Lessons from Heart & Hustle

I’ve followed The Britpop Princess for years and have watched her evolve into the brand, businesswoman, wife and mother that is Patricia Bright. And now she is a whole author! I listened to the audiobook earlier this month and wrote an in-depth review which you can read here.

I recommend you purchase or borrow the book for yourself if you want to fully grasp what Heart & Hustle is about. But for now, here are ten lessons I learned whilst reading it (not verbatim, but in my own words).

Ten Lessons from Heart & Hustle

You’ll only achieve as much as you believe you’ll achieve

A large social media following is not necessary for everyone

Being broke is a choice

You only have the luxury of following your passion once you’ve ensured you’re financially stable

It’s good to have a degree. It’s even better to market yourself

Whether you’re a content creator, entrepreneur or an employee, you have a personal brand to build

It’s OK to copy, but be innovative with it

Unfollow anything that doesn’t serve you

Do a few things well

Give your money away (there’s context to this, you’ll have to read the book!)

I hope these ten lessons get you off to a great start. Let me know if you’ve read the book!
