Madeline's Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide

This year it seems time has been expanding and contracting. First it felt as if 2018 was never going to end. Then all of a sudden, a giant Christmas tree was erected in my town centre, then I noticed the shops playing festive music on repeat. But reality finally set in when at work we were asked to draw names out of a hat for secret Santa.

Speaking of gifts, if you're like me, the yuletide season has taken you by surprise. You probably have not began your chrstmas shopping;. But fear not! I have put together this last minute Christmas gift guide for you.

Make a Note of It
This Christmas why not gift those who love to write on the go with unique notebooks. LNB Boutique is a black British brand specialing in ankara styled pieces. They also do iPad and pencil cases. What is more, for a minimum spend you can get free shipping! What more is there to think about?

Subscribe to the Awesomeness
Why not bless someone with the gift that keeps giving? Black Ballad is an online magazine, by black women, for black women. With motivating, and hard-hitting stories from different contributors around the UK, there is always something fresh and new to read. And for £49.00 for a years subscription, your loved one will be blessed by your generosity long after the tinsel and garlands are put away.

Do it For the Kids
We all know that Christmas is mainly for the children, so here are some of the children's publications which have caught my eye this year.

This set of Bible Stories & Prayers mean so much to me. As a former Sunday School teacher who mainly taught black children, I struggled with making the Word of God relevant to them.  Gift a child with these beautifully illustrated books and you'll be building a wonderful foundation for them.

Here are some other children's books which caught my eye:

Read All About It

A gift idea which never fails, especially if you know the reading preferences of your loved one is a good book. Here are some of my faves of the year.

What goes best with a good book in the Winter?
A cup of your favourite hot drink of course! Picture yourself curled up in bed or on the sofa with a good book in your hands. The weather is pathetic outside but you don't care because you're tucked underneath your duvet or fave blankie. All you need is a cup of hot chocolate or fruit tea, and these beautiful finds make it possible

That's it! Madeline's last minute Christmas gift guide. Hopefully you are inspired and less panic stricken! What is on your Christmas wishlist this year? Comment below.

  2. The occasion for which you plan to buy a gift (in addition to the identity of the intended recipient) can inform both your gift type and your gift budget. https://www.teddyway.sk
